What cities can you book rooms in?

Based in Charleston, the Sea Island team is familiar with lodging options throughout the Lowcountry (Savannah, Hilton Head, Charleston & Myrtle Beach) and able to assist you in securing accommodations that will be the best fit your guests and your wedding weekend. If you’re tying the knot outside of the Lowcountry, don’t fret…we book rooms throughout the continental USA.

What is considered a room block?

Room blocks generally consist of 10 or more rooms on peak (the night of your wedding weekend where the most rooms are booked).

What is the purpose of securing a room block?

As the popularity of Charleston and The Lowcountry continue to grow, so does the number of tourists we welcome to region each year. Securing room blocks ensures that your guests will have the opportunity to book their desired hotel up until a month prior to your wedding.

What can we expect to see in savings?

The “savings” you see will vary depending on your specific dates. And while our team always works hard to get your guests the best possible rate, we also work with your hotel sales manager to secure any possible add-on’s, like complimentary nights based on the number of rooms picked up by your guests, rewards points, late check-outs, early check-ins, etc.

What can the SIEC team do that I wouldn’t be able to do on my own?

There are few things that make our hotel room block service an invaluable one to couples tying the knot in the Lowcountry. Because we are well versed in the hotel options in the area, we can quickly narrow your search down to what properties would best accommodate your crew (location, proximity to your reception venue, quality, cost, etc.). We’ll handle the initial inquiries, so you can hand-off all the calls and emails that are generally associated with the process, and we’ll present to you each hotel option along with their best rates and added incentives. We’ll walk you through the different options in securing your blocks (contracts, attrition, courtesy group agreements), so you feel comfortable in the decisions you’re making.

Once our room blocks are secured, what role does your team play?

After your rooms blocks have been secured, we’ll update you on the booking process to ensure you are able to pass along the proper information to those who will be attending your wedding weekend, including: website booking links, cut-off dates, contact information, etc. Over the coming months, we’ll keep you posted on who and how many guests have booked their rooms at each hotel leading up until the cut-off date. We can also assist in coordinating any welcome boxes and wedding information which each property so that they can be delivered upon check-in.
